Books with babies!

Would love recommendations for novels featuring babies to read during restless nights with our newborn

Thinking of easy reads about newborn struggles, romantic comedy types etc but not adverse to good literary drama!

Possibly not the kind of thing you're thinking of but The Book of Dust by Philip Pullman features a baby and is literary YA. Definitely not a romantic comedy, but aimed at YAs, so is pretty easy to focus on with baby brain.

Not read it, but someone asked similar a while ago, and Night Waking by Sarah Moss was recommended.

help you might try Little Labours by Rivka Galchen, she wrote it after having a baby, small literary book of observations on babies. Also if you want something light there is The Hours before Dawn by Celia Fremlin, it's a vintage crime novel about a young mother uncovering a mystery.

Anne Enright's Making Babies is really good - v funny in places. It's a memior - not a novel but well worth reading.

Night waking by Sarah Moss is great tobee. I'd really recommend that.

I like the Lynne Reid banks 'l-shaped room' trilogy. Struggles of an unmarried mother when it mattered if you were or not.

Not fiction but Libby Purves 'How not to be a perfect mother' is funny and great for dipping in to.

Just thought. What about Marian Keyes ' Watermelon' - very funny.
