Something like Circe by Madeline Miller

I have just finished Madeline Miller's novel 'Circe' and really enjoyed it. I have recently read Stephen Fry's Greek mythology book and Neil Gaiman's Norse one and am enjoying learning more about the myths, Gods and legends. What else can I read?

Did you read her first book? I loved that

I have. I also read a series of books about troy that I enjoyed. I think by David Gemmell.

Kerry Greenwood, the Australian writer has a series of books based on characters from Greek mythology. Colleen McCulloch wrote a series based on the history of Rome - I've not read them, I find her hard going, but I know people who love them, so horses for courses, I suppose.

House of Names by Colm Tobin is written in a very similar in tone to Circe, it’s not about Greek gods but about what happens to Agamemnon's family when he returns from the Trojan war.

If you don't mind YA I really enjoyed Joanne Harris's Runemark books.
