It's after midnight, you have to get up earlyy and you just read one more chapter...

When you start talking in a different accent as their 'voice' is still in your mind.

When you get your 18 month olds coat on ready for a walk on a beautiful day, then you pick up the book again because you just have to finish the chapter, to only then realise you are a few chapters in, the child has fallen fast asleep on the floor still with their coat on. (Massive parent fail) although I managed to finish the book....It was very good.

When you think "I can't wait to read about what Shardlake gets up to next". And then you realise there are no more books.
