The author Philip Kerr has died, aged 62. Bernie's recent outing, the 13th, was published about a week ago.

It's so sad. My dad has just introduced me to Bernie Gunther - sad to think there won't be any moreSad

There is one just out and another in the pipeline for next year, all ready to go.... so his books live on after his death. I love that he said of Berlin that it was not so much a city as a 'state of mind'

I've loved almost everything he wrote. It was always interesting. If you see a copy (OOP) of A Philosophical Investigation in a charity shop, buy it. The year it is set in has come (and gone) so it's fun to see what we all thought the future looked like from 1992-ish.
