Recommend me a book set in Bath.

Reading a book at the moment that’s not really grabbing me st all so looking for or reading something else and I’m of to Bath next week. So go on, what’s a good read set in Bath?

The Wives Of Bath by Amanda Holden.

I grew up in Bath. Left when I was 19. Nice friendly place.

Jane Austen, of course! Northanger Abbey and Persuasion.

Yes, yes to Northanger Abbey. Then you can go to the Jane Austen museum when you're in Bath.

There’s a Jane Austen Museum? Can you tell I really haven’t done any research?

And Georgette Heyer as well as Jane Austen! Black Sheep is my favourite of her novels set there.

Amy Snow by Tracy Rees is partly set in Bath. I enjoyed it.

Humphry Clinker by Smollett is partly set in Bath if I remember right. And it's great!

Peter Lovesey's Peter Diamond series - starts with The Last Detective

If you like urban fantasy, then Emma Newman's Split Worlds series (starts with Between Two Thorns) is based in Bath. Mr B's Emporium of Reading Delights makes a cameo appearance

The Crow Stone by jenni Mills is a good mystery read.
