This book is made of letters written by a group of women.
Before WW2 one of them put an ad in the paper. This ad was to find women who want to write about their daily life, letters were sent to the organiser. I think she typed them up with her friend who lived near by and sent to the whole group after few weeks. All of them were from Britain.
Those letters made into the book by either one of the last surviving women or their descendants.
