I've just finished 'The Hand That First Held Mine' and LOVED it! Excited to read more of her work.

Now started 'The Diving-Bell and the Butterfly' by Jean-Dominique Bauby. A short read so shouldn't take long to finish.

Too many books, not enough time! My Amazon wish list grows by the week....

The Hand that First Held Mine is one of my favourite books ever, absolutely beautifully written.

The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox is brilliant.

I second Esme Lennox - my favourite O'Farrell book. Heartbreaking in parts (mostly because you know it could so easily be someone's actual story) but some real light moments too - I loved it.

I also loved Esme Lennox. It was my first Maggie O'Farrell novel which I then followed up with 'After you'd gone'. I loved that too.
