Has anyone read this? I finished it last night but was disappointed in the ending. It just stopped!

I avoided that one when I read the above! A faux-denouement under the comments made me smile though.

I found it boring. Charting the mental demise of the nanny? If that's what it was supposed to be then it was so subtle and vague. I didn't know what the author wanted me to think most of the time

What a strange strange book :-/

YaBasic that review is absolutely hilarious and so true! Excellent stuff! Wish I had read it before I bothered with the book!

I read it and was very disappointed. Badly written ( possibly the translation though), mind numbingly boring and as we know the who dine it immediately the rest needed to be extremely good. I read a lot and this was a waste of time can't understand the hype

Ha! So true. I had no idea what was going on. Very odd.

The ending annoyed me so much! Through the whole book we’re let into Louise’s thoughts and see what she gets up to when nobody’s around. And then at the critical point, we have absolutely no idea exactly what happened or why. I can’t get my head around the author’s decision to cut out the reader at that point.

At least it was a quick read so I didn’t feel like I’d wasted much time!
