This excellent website has info on all this year's shortlisted titles. And, as we are celebrating seventy years of librarians recognising the very best in children's books (pause for very quick preen), there is additional on many of the previous winners.
(The photos of the esteemed Mr Andrew Carnegie and Kate Greenaway are not for the faint-hearted though, what a gruesome twosome).

Oh my goodness, how to choose. I will have to consult the children. My two faves from the Kate Greenaway top ten are Dogger and Each Peach and there are several on the Carnegie shortlist but I think it might be Tom's Midnight Gardern. DD1 just finised the Family from One End Street tonight though so that might be her choice.
What about anyone else?

I will ask mine tonight.
Bumping for the day crowd as I know there are lots of bibliophiles out there
