Ripley (as in the talented one)

I’ve only ever read the original by Highsmith and liked it. Are the others any good?

Also, are her other books recommended?

And lastly, any similar anti heroes I might like?

Try the Lesley Thomson series beginning with The Detective 's Daughter. Both sleuths are very troubled, so make an interesting partnership. They're not quite in Ripley's league though!
