Hi, is anyone reading this? I'm about 3/4 of the way through and finding it very hard and painful to read, I've been in tears most of the way.

I must admit it's very difficult to read. I have so much admiration for Denise though. I don't think I could have gone on living after what happened, but she's not only survived but went on to raise a family, set up a charity and continue to campaign for justice for James.

God no, no way could I get through it. It was partly serialised in a newspaper recently, that was enough for me. Ralph’s account a few years ago tore me apart, and seeing the pictures of her and Ralph at the time, they looked so so young, was heartbreaking. I’d like to think that, for both of them, getting their version of events down on paper is in some way cathartic, but I cannot read it.

I couldn't. Just the 4 posts on this thread bring a lump to my throat. How that woman gets through a day I do not know. Sad

I have heard her speak about the book and that was hard enough. She is an extraordinary woman.
