Anyone read 'The Woman in the Window' (Thriller)

I was wondering if anyone had read this book. Was browsing on Amazon and this came up. Does sound as if it could be a bit depressing though but fascinating. Love the title.

Just bought it half price in Sainsbury's,has had good reviews on Amazon.

I'm reading it but it is annoying me intensely!

I've finished it now, and I didn't like it.

I liked Anatomy of a Scandal- that was really good!

I'm reading it now, just over half way through, a bit of a slow burner particularly with regards to the agrophobia and curtain twitching of the poor woman. Can understand why salted caramel found it annoying. Too much about "the woman in the window's" alcohol intake and dependency on prescription drugs, which she has been advised not to take with alcohol as they induce hallucinations, but she does anyway. Somewhere in her recent history, she has suffered a trauma, I haven't uncovered that yet, but I think I may know what it is. Although I haven't finished it, I'm agreeing with salted caramel, Anatonmy of a Scandal is much better it certainly sets a quicker pace than this one which is inching forward all too slowly for my liking and going over the same ground. Not the worst book I've read however, you may love it OP. I think I was seduced by the hype, best seller in America blah blah!

Funnily enough I actually bought both The Woman in the Window and Anatomy of a Scandal today so am interested to see how I get on with those.
