Books similar to georgette hayer mysteries

I’ve just discovered these and read the lot over Christmas. Does anyone have recommendations for similar books? Set in the 20s 30s, big houses, murder mysteries, interesting female characters etc. Thanks!

Agatha Christie is the obvious one, but Margery Allingham's books are v.good too. Some of Mary Stewart's might work (e.g. Madam Will You Talk or Wildfire at Midnight), but her stuff is more set in the 50's.

You could try Ngaio Marsh or John Dickson Carr.

Funny this thread should appear i was just discussing Georgette Heyer with my husband yesterday. I had no idea she wrote detective novels, i just knew her for romance novels. When i saw a GH book on his to be read pile i was quite surprised!! He is working his way through this genre too. He has all the authors in this thread plus Francis Duncan in his pile.
