I'm trying to think of books where the friendship between two women is at the heart of the book.

I loved Martha and Cora's relationship in The Essex Serpent - I'm sure there must be loads of others. Please help!

Ah elena ferrante, I had been meaning to read her books at some stage. Great.

I've read a thousand splendid suns but can't remember anything. I'll revisit, thank you.

I can think of films and kids stories centring around friendships, but fewer novels.

I was going to come to recommend a thousand splendid suns also.
