Have you noticed 'themes' in the books you chose to read?

I'm an avid reader, but I've had a think over the past 20 or so books I've read, and I've noticed that the majority of them deal with themes of longing and/or going 'home'.

I'm not really sure why.

Maybe it's because I've never felt like any particular place was home for me, I mean, yes, the UK is home now in the sense that it's where we live.

But I've never had a strong connection to any homeland.

And the longing/yearning sort of themes.

Have you been gravitating towards certain types of books?

i love adventure stories, with strong female characters, with a hint of sci-fi/fantasy for good measure!
