Yes I loved it! But not as much as the Fireflies.

I’m just starting the girlfriend by Michelle Francis. Never read anything by her before

I really hopped the ending was different, after what happened to Rick I wanted their secret to be exposed.

@zeeboo I too loved The light of the fireflies, it's such a sad and weird story. I really felt bad for the sister.

I think I preferred Fireflies to Room, if we are comparing creepy novels with children in. It stayed with me for weeks.
Desert flowers started really well but I think it started becoming unbelievable toward the end. I can't remember it all clearly, I've read so many books since. I'll have to check Goodreads and see if I reviewed it.
