Hi everyone, what can you recommend in the comedy romance genre? Looking for something really well written, very funny bit with a bit of cheese!

My favourite is How to lose a guy in 10 days; cracks me up every time and I've seen it numerous times.

Also something about Mary is another. you can't beat the rom cons that have been out afew years.

Faking It by Jennifer Crusie is a great book.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 12/11/2017 05:38

Mhairi McFarlane's books are well written and funny, I think she's a great author.

BeerBaby · 12/11/2017 05:49

The woman who went to bed for a year is funny and has elements of romance.

Look at Sophie Kinsella books, Marian Keys, Katie Fforde, Jill Mansell, Santa Montifore (not sure how funny?), Tracey Bloom is ok.

ellaballoo · 12/11/2017 05:59

Yes , Mhari McFarlane is great and I am a big fan of Paige Toon too.

ellaballoo · 12/11/2017 06:24

Actually those 2 are more rom than com .
Fiona Gibson is funny.

Tracy Blooms books are good . No-one Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday, amongst others. Also Lucy Robinson's are worth reading.

minsmum · 12/11/2017 17:24

Welcome to temptation is brilliant also by Jennifer Crusie

Hamonrye · 12/11/2017 22:38

Can’t beat Jilly Cooper for laugh out loud moments!

Papergirl1968 · 13/11/2017 08:53

Riders, Rivals, Polo, that is. Her best three by far!

GeekyWombat · 13/11/2017 08:57

Anything by Sophie Kinsella. Her books are the best kind of cheese. The Shopaholic books are good but Can You Keep A Secret? and My Not So Perfect Life are both lovely too (the former is my ‘rainy day, feeling in a funk, reread with a cuppa and some chocolate’ go to).
