The Book of Lost Things

Just wanted to say that I am half way through this book at the moment and it is fantastic! That's all!

I read it a couple of months ago- all i can say is wow!

StreediesMum - It's amazing isn't it! I usually finish books and give them to Oxfam, very rarely re-read anything but this one is a keeper and I'll read it again. I've been recommending it to everyone. It's just brilliant.

Yes, I finished the actually story on wednesday and loved it so much that I read all the authors notes and the original fairy tales at the end!

I love that you can draw your own conclusions about what happened and I thought the ending was perfect.

I only read on the bus to and from work otherwise I find myself up at 2am unable to put books down. I make myself keep whatever I'm reading in my work bag and it's very hard at times, especially if you have to stop at an exciting part. Also it means that I'm quite often having to try not to cry on the top deck of the 94!

I thought the actual story was fab but the notes afterwards were pretentious twaddle.

gah- don't remember any notes....what were they about then?

It was the whole second half of the book - you'd struggle to miss it... though I wish I had

Think I'm going mad- don't remember any fairy tales or notes....

Will have to look in waterstones tomorrow.
