The Last Witchfinder by James Morrow

It was blindingly good

Has anyone else read it?

I've never heard of it, what's the story about?
I have book tokens to spend

Iklboo · 13/04/2007 13:34

I'm not too keen on historical type novels, or books that are set that far back, I struggle with them. I might ask around my book club mates and see if any of them have it and see if I can borrow it, after I have read the 6 books beside the bed

better review here

In fact that second review is MUCH better. It isn't science fiction by any stretch

Cor. Thanks for that. Looks like the sort of thing I like.

Although it will postpone my production of the Great 21st Century Novel yet again.

I need something new to read. Have been wading through worthy biographies of worthy authors, after a visit to my educationally-minded uncle. Fiction would be more fun.

Swap it for Oryx and Crake, maybe, which I'm sure you'd like?

Greenleeves · 13/04/2007 14:19

I would fennel, but I met up with a friend in Reading the day after I finished it, and she bilked me into lending it to her

You're welcome to it when I get it back though . And I haven't read Oryx and Crake...

I'll bring Oryx and Crake to the pub, then we can circumvent any awkward silences due to trying to cross the Great WOHM/SAHM divide by just drinking and reading.

I saw that in WHS recently and thought it looked good. Then promptly forgot it's title. So thanks for reminding me
