The Virgin Suicides- I keep stopping and starting reading it but I am enjoying it

Agatha Christie Evil Under the Sun.
I love a good cosy murder mystery. So quick and easy to read when I just want to relax after a busy, stressful day at work.

One Good Turn, the second in Kate Atkinson's Jackson Brodie detective series. Very enjoyable so far.

SS-GB, missed it when it was on television, really enjoying it so far

Yes I am enjoying it although it’s very different than the other books I’ve read recently. I hadn’t heard of it either until it was on the kindle daily deal last week.

Fabian love a good Agatha just for those reasons

Southeast. That was the last book I read. I discovered Kate Atkinson earlier in the year. Really enjoyed it but I’m trying to ration myself as I don’t want to read all of her books in one go.

Five. Haven’t heard of that one. Will take a look

The Dry... it's great, in fact not sure why I'm sitting here doing this when I should be upstairs reading more!

The Light between Oceans. It's okay. I will finish it to see what happens.

Its okay but a bit all over the place - probably not helped that I only read it for around 10 minutes before falling asleep

I'm re-reading His Dark Materials trilogy so I can read The Book of Dust asap.

Finished Northern Lights yesterday evening and half way through The Subtle Knife now (day off today put to good use!).

I'm reading The Women of Versailles by Kate Brown.
It's a novel about one of the daughters of Louis XV switching between her teenage years and the revolution. I'm halfway through and enjoying it so far.

Just finished listening to An Expert In Murder by Nicola Upson. It was well read and started off really well with strong characters and sense of time & place but slightly drifted.

I’m reading Highland Fling by Nancy Mitford. Which I’m loving.

Need a new listening book as I’m doing a long drive tomorrow evening need to get it chosen, started and into it. Needs to be gripping.

Then I’m on holiday by the sea for a week so need more reading for after Highland Fling

For book group - The Hills Is Lonely by Lilian Beckwith, a sort of memoir about moving to a remote Scottish village many years ago. Not enjoying it at all, sadly.
For pleasure - Then She Was Gone, the latest Lisa Jewell. Gripping, but think I know the ending! Hopefully I'll be wrong.

I've just brought all the Harry Potter books again (I had them when I was younger.) I've just finished The Philosopher's Stone and I'll start The Chamber Of Secrets tonight. (I got the DVDs for my birthday, and want to refresh my memory as I've never watched the films, and I want to see what they miss out!)
As I spent all of last night dreaming I was on the run from Lord Voldermort I already think I need help.

Quite long but nicely written

Just finished Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney which I absolutely loved.

The 17th Century Literature.

Just started the new Dan Brown one, Origin. I am on holiday and find his books to be a good holiday romp.

Greentea, I found “The Light Between Oceans* OK to start with, but couldn’t put it down at the end.

Just read lie with me by Sabine Durrant- couldn't put it down not heard of her before so looking forward to reading some others
The light between the oceans I keep trying to read and can't quite get into- I'm inspired now to persevere with it!

A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth ozbeki it's for book club quite enjoying it

I read Testosterone Rex tonight (in one go!) after its mention in a thread. Funny, interesting.

Moving onto "World without mind".

The Power. Great dystopian novel, love the way the author plays with gender and the roles we hold in society.

Next up is Golden Hill by Francis Spufford. Am on a prizewinning books run at the moment!
