Books set in Corfu but not the Durrells!

We've just planned a holiday to Corfu so would like to read some books set there before we go. Happy with fiction and non-fiction and can be set there fully or partly.

I've read all the Gerald Durrell books set there and am aware of the Lawrence Durrell ones, so am after some alternative suggestions.

Can't think of a Corfu one but close are The Magus by John Fowles set on a Greek Island and Captain Correlli's Mandolin by Louis de Bernières set on the next island, Cephalonia.

The Magus is pretty upsetting, though - depends what sort of book you want to read.

Not Corfu but Crete is the setting for Victoria Hislop's The Island which is a good holiday read.

I'd forgotten that Triple - just read it recently, too. It is an enjoyable book.

My first thought was The Island by Victoria (?) Hyslop. It’s a good read.

Haven’t read them but I think an author called Mandy Baggot sets books in Corfu
