What would you get?

I'd pre-order Harry Potter.

Or buy an organic vegetable gardening book. Or a Henrietta Green cook book. Or even a PG Wodehouse Omnibus.

If you can't think of anything your really want I wouldn't buy now. Wait until there's something specific you're after.

Have you tried any Phillipa Gregory books? She writes historical stories, many of them set in Tudor times about the wives of Henry VIII. They are page turning, tender and thrilling IMHO.
