Not read any Dorothy Koomson before. Loving this book. Can't put it down! Especially as the last book I read was crap.

Have not read it but I will look out for it as it sounds really good Smile

It's excellent and they did aTV adaptation but finish the book first if you want to watch it. Dorothy Koomson is great. The stories get a bit 'samey' after a while but what author doesn't and it doesn't detract from each and every book. 'The Chocolate Run' was my least favourite bit still loved it. 'Marshmallows for Breakfast' was the first one I read and lived it. It in hindsight probably not her strongest work either. One of the most gripping was something like 'The Woman before me' I can't remember the exact title. I can get lost her books for days. 'Ice Cream Girls' is one of her best though - they are not all quite the same genre.

Sorry I LOVED marshmallows for breakfast. I didn't live it - I've never had Marshmallows for breakfast total lie.

Great book, I really enjoyed it and would recommend her books. All of the ones I have read have been beautifully written, and although have quite 'deep' story lines i.e. death, have been easy to pick up and put down. Good holiday reads I find!

Love it. Wonder if there's a way I can watch it after I've read it.

I liked the book. I think the tv adaptation used to be available on Sky box sets.

FlowerTink · 10/09/2017 23:48

I loved this book, it's one of my favourites. Agreed watch the adaptation after you've read, it's slightly different and doesn't compare to the book but it is worth a watch.

Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 11/09/2017 14:49

Jeez it's uncomfortable reading isn't it. Can't put it down though.

The first I read was My Best Friends Girl. It was so very sad but I've read every one of her books now! Really enjoyed this one.

Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 11/09/2017 20:19

I've just finished it. Wow. Found it traumatic. Watched a bit of the tv series on YouTube. What was the ending in the tv series?
