Personal Finance Book Recommendations?

newusernamefornow · 08/08/2017 16:53

Looking to get a good personal finance (audio) book for a long drive ahead tomorrow.

Ideally something focused on the bigger picture/saving rather than the basics of cutting back, i.e. not "swap your daily latte" stuff.

Any recommendations please?

Isn't "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" the chap who advocates tugging on your earlobe to attract riches?

He himself got stinking rich by charging people ££££s to come to stadium seminars about tugging on your earlobe. There was a documentary about it.

Oh dear Grin

Any other recommendations?

If not I may sack off the finance requirement and finally download How To Make Friends....

I've never actually read a personal finance book but (FWIW)!if I was going to buy one I'd buy Alvin Hall. He makes a lot of sense in the press and every time I hear him interviewed.

Good shout - Your Money or Your Life by Alvin Hall was excellent. I'll see if he's published anything recently. Thanks
