IdrisTheDragon · 28/03/2007 20:48

I will investigate more of them.

Tatties · 28/03/2007 20:49

Do I know you?

bran · 28/03/2007 20:50

But there are LOADS of books F&Z - stop tempting me, you have no idea how much I spend on books already (actually I have no idea how much I spend on books, I started to add it up once but got frightened ).

IdrisTheDragon · 28/03/2007 20:50

I can't remember much about Dear Fred, having read it when I was a teenager I think, from the library. Have a vague idea there was some sex in it somewhere. And horses. But not at the same time.

elasticbandstand · 28/03/2007 20:50

weren't they for teenagers?

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 20:51

LOL Tatties yes you know me

Bran start with Fly By Night, they are just about to reprint it, will return with linkage

they are mostly OOP so you will have to get nice cheap second hand copies

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 20:51

OP posts:
chonky · 28/03/2007 20:54

Read Flambards and Fly-by-Night and loved them both. Oooh, I want to read them again. Thank you for this thread Franny

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 21:10

You are welcome

Everybody go and order Fly By Night. It is so wonderful. And if you want to cut straight to the chase and need some manly sensitivity then buy Pennington's Seventeenth Summer.

OP posts:
elasticbandstand · 28/03/2007 21:12

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 21:12

No I am just an enthusiastic geek

OP posts:
pointydog · 28/03/2007 22:14

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 22:16

pointydog · 28/03/2007 22:36

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 22:50

they should have copies in Ann Summers

"vibrators"

"scratchy pants"

"Pennington books"

OP posts:
sunnysideup · 28/03/2007 23:12

oh my goodness, thought I was the only one still hanging onto my Pennington books - Patrick Pennington the love of my life! Hands off him everyone. Re-read them very recently..... How i have ALWAYS felt cheated in my life because I have never met that piano playing musical genuis/prodigy with violent tendencies and enigmatic 'communication' skills.....shan't be able to sleep tonight now

FrannyandZooey · 29/03/2007 09:32

Ah SSU I expect you managed in the end...

get to the back of the queue, I have had my eye on Patrick P for quite some time

however do you think we should write to KMP and tell her we blame all our relationship difficulties on the fact that no man can ever live up to PP?

OP posts:
IdrisTheDragon · 29/03/2007 10:34

I think I need to read the Pennington books, don't I?
