Whether you've got a sweet or savoury tooth, we all know what it's like to really fancy a little (or large) bit of something. GBBO contestant Martha Collison's new book Crave is about just that - and we're asking you to share your cravings below for a chance to win.

We all know the feeling. What starts as an insignificant little niggle which grows into a demanding full-on craving. The kind that drags you out of bed in the middle of the night on a search for cheese, or causes you to break away from your desk in a desperate hunt for chocolate.

Crave is the second book from Sunday Times bestselling author and Great British Bake Off contestant, Martha Collison. Using inspired food science and delicious cuisine combinations, she provides go-to recipes incorporating eight flavours we so often find ourselves hankering for: chocolate, cheese, caramel, citrus, fruit, nut, spice – and alcohol!

These include ‘Instant’ recipes like lemon cheesecake pots, ‘Soon’ recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour, such as chilli chocolate churros, and you’ll also find ‘Worth the Wait’ recipes, which really are what they say on the tin... Creative, inspiring and imaginative, these are the recipes you just have to have.

For the first time since the introduction of the original Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 1936, KitchenAid has launched a mini version of its iconic culinary workhorse. The KitchenAid MINI Stand Mixer, is 20% smaller and 25% lighter with a 3.3 litre bowl - perfect for smaller batch lifestyles!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of the book plus a KitchenAid MINI stand mixer (worth £449) just tell us: what food or flavours do you crave most? Feel free to give examples of the ways you satisfy them e.g. what meals - even the more weird and wonderful ones!

Crave is out on 27 July - buy the book from Amazon for £16.99

*KitchenAid MINI stand mixer colour will be pink

Cheese. I'm seriously craving cheese & I can't have any until my dairy-intolerant baby weans. Current fantasy meal = cheese on toast, followed by quiche, with a side order of cheesy nachos & carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Yummy

pmama · 25/08/2017 18:49

carrot cake :)

gemsi · 25/08/2017 20:19

Anything chinese style, cheesy or with potatoes in :)

Textpectation · 25/08/2017 20:22

Right now I'm craving some mini Victoria sponges that is just seen on Pinterest.

I'll probably have some crusty bread made into toast. Love toast.

Macaroni cheese made by my mum - proper strong cheese and then frozen peas in the mix. It's the stuff dreams are made of. She always made it when I came back from Uni.

Now, I also crave good coffee and proper homemade chocolate cake, luckily I know someone who runs a vintage cafe so I can go and visit her when I need it Smile

Simple I gave me daughter a copy of 'twist' and she bakes away. Today it was madeleines dipped in dark chocolate and coconut (we don't like sugar sprinkles). The only rule is we have to finish one cake before she bakes again. On disciplined days cravings are sated with carrot, or tomatoes straight from the bush dipped in rosemary salt.

I crave poached or scrambled eggs. They've been off the menu for over a year now along with wheat, dairy and soy whilst I am breastfeeding my allergic son. I've been craving a lot of foods (unsurprisingly!) but eggs top the list!

Sweet carbs! Not really bothered by chocolate but give me cake or a cinnamon bun and I'm all yours!!

keeganface · 26/08/2017 10:10

I quite often crave home baking. Tea and cake is the ultimate comfort food and an instant pick me up ☺

awakes · 26/08/2017 10:10

just baked bread with butter of course!

PiaMaria79 · 26/08/2017 15:24

Cheese! In every shape or form as long as it's not blue cheese. I've been pregnant 3 times and never ever had any other cravings than just more cheese. Suppose it's no wonder all our kids love cheese too :D

Blondemomma · 26/08/2017 15:31

My worst craving has to be biscuits. Only problem is that I have trouble stopping at 2 or 3.

Piffpaffpoff · 26/08/2017 15:35

Steak. Sometimes all I want is a really good steak. Medium rare. Mmmmm

The other thing that I'm really bad for is a good old tooth melting tablet. My mums recipe. I always have a tin of condensed milk in the cupboard for when the urge strikes and in roughly 30 minutes I can have a delicious tray of loveliness. Yum!

I absolutely love olives !!!!! They have always been my favourite food ever since I was a child, I remember walking past the deli counter in my local supermarkets drooling at all the different varieties! I even had an olive bar instead of a candy bar for my wedding and here's a pic to prove it ! I crave them morning noon and night and I can literally return home from a shopping trip with 10 different pots ! They are a great quick and easy snack so they obviously don't require much effort although I have been known to 'stuff' plain ones with my own homemade specialities like cream cheese and slices of chorizo ! But they are fab in salads, on top of pizzas and in pasta dishes. My mouth is watering just thinking about them......

I crave cake and try to be inventive - I was recently challenged to make a neopolitan marble cake as a variation to a chocolate orange favourite - yum yum

flozza42 · 27/08/2017 20:53

Chocolate cake!

portfoliomum · 27/08/2017 21:34

Daal. It absolutely takes me back to my childhood & family meals where it was a staple. For years after leaving home I avoided it but now I get regular cravings for it - a thick daal, with a spicy kick & fresh coriander served with nan bread. Luckily mostly involves store cupboard ingredients.... Writing this is making me crave it!

agnapoop · 28/08/2017 12:56

I crave full on lasagne, chips and peas. No idea why.

Polter · 28/08/2017 16:52

JoyceDivision · 28/08/2017 19:15

A thick slice of white toast, slathered in salty french butter.

Or, a slice of good quality fresh baked bread. Slathered in salty french butter.

Home made chips.
