I've recently started this on audio but I have a phobia of vermin & there's been a few mentions recently. I won't be able to finish it if there are lots of parts in the book. Can anyone advise if they remember it being a regular feature? Thanks

One of my all time favourite books. I don't recall many mentions of vermin but I'm not phobic so possibly wouldn't have noticed.

I do know it's an incredible book, do give it a really good go, it's worth it.

I don't remember any particular vermin parts OP! Enjoy.

Do weasels class as vermin. There is a nasty rat bit

There's a bit in the Lincoln Tunnel which is creepy, but I don't remember any specific vermin-filled parts. It's the 'end of the world' so there will inevitably probably be a few rats around, but it's certainly not on a James Herbert level.

It's a brilliant novel, so hope you can get through it!

There is a character called "The Rat Man" but he's not a main character. There's a bit where Larry is outside his mother's apartment (it's mentioned a few times). Weasels are in a bit as mentioned above. I think there is more mentions of them in the beginning than further on. Good book :)
