So, the text books are staying at home and I'm looking for a couple of books (on my kindle) to read over a long weekend away.

So much choice though!

I'm terrible at getting my own booked ideas, for instance the last few books I've read have been Gone Girl, The Girl on the Train and The Handmaid's Tail. Which have basically been because I've seen trailers on TV and have wanted to know what the plot was!

I love Jane Eyre has to be my favourite book but I also LOVE Jilly Cooper!

HELP!

Did you enjoy Girl on a Train, Gone Girl and A Handmaid's Tale? Because if you did, in addition to Jane Eyre & the works of Jilly Cooper, you sound a bit like me in that you can read and get some enjoyment from pretty much anything! I go to charity shops and fundraising book sales and pick up several used books for about a tenner. I'll read the blurbs and just choose those that appeal to me. Best recently read ones: La Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver and My Best Friend's Girl by Dorothy Koomson.

Truth be told, I've never read any Jilly Coopers, now might be a good time to try. I'm sure I'll find a few second hand copies! Enjoy your holiday!

If you liked the Handmaid's Tale try the Girl with all the Gifts or even 1984.
