I was wondering if anyone has read this. I loved The Unseen, but this is so slow going, I'm on p100 and looked online for spoilers to keep me going. Couldn't find any. Has anyone read it? Is it worth continuing? I would like spoilers to help me judge whether or not to carry on.
Thanks.

Read it ages ago so can't remember story clearly, sorry! But I do remember enjoying it, so it's worth persevering. Her later books were not as good, in my opinion.

I could have written Clawdy's post! I loved her first few books. I have The English Girl out of the library but not feeling very excited about it. I enjoyed The Misbegotten though so I would say stick with it.

Thanks
Any spoilers to encourage me?

Sorry, like Clawdy I can't remember any details, just that I enjoyed it!

It's interesting that people can't recall details
I'm on p150 and the book hasn't advanced at all.

I mean, hasn't advanced from p100 as per my first post, sorry!

To be fair, it was written some years ago! There aren't that many books where I remember the storyline years later, but I do remember if I enjoyed them, and this one I did.

ChessieFL · 01/06/2017 11:21

Agree Clawdy - I have probably read a few hundred books since I read that one so not really surprising I can't remember the details!

Slimthistime · 01/06/2017 16:32

it's only 4 years old.

I tend to remember a lot about books and films and TV years and years later though.

I read it when it first came out, and I usually read over 150 books a year, so yes, I have read a few hundred since!!

Slimthistime · 02/06/2017 11:12

Chessie, I'm not disputing that. But if you enjoyed them, do you forget all the basic plots?

Anyway, I'm giving it to the charity shop at the weekend.

Yes, I often reread books because I can't remember what happened first time around!
