who else loves Cornelia Funke?

Yes DD1 has just read Inkheart and pronounced it one of her top four books (a fairly fluid list!). I loved it too. I have bought Inkspell but we haven't read it yet - I'm going to let her have it first. I've also got The Thief Lord which looks good too.

I liked "Inkheart" and "Inkspell" and "Dragon Rider". I found "The Thief Lord" to be a really good idea but I seem to remember not enjoying it as much for some reason.

Because of Inkheart DD1 has now started reading this which is thoroughly fab - she was glued to it over breakfast this morning.

How old are your children - is it too much for a seven year old?

DD is nine. I don't think she would have read Inkheart at seven because there were some rather scary bits, but it depends on the child.
