First of all I'm going to do a little dance as in a month, although I could do better, I've read 2 books. FlowersStarFlowers

Secondly I've seen the movie of The Book Thief, I wondered if the book was any different. First time I watched it the person who watched it with me clocked who the narrator was meant to be. I was clueless till the end.

Do you have any books similar to The Book Thief you can suggest please?

I loved Ben Eltons "two brothers". Set around the nazi germany era and a really good read. And the Book Thief is worth reading if you have only seen the film.

Thank you, I wondered if the book was was better than the movie, or told more.

I've read Ben Elton's Maybe Baby, I found that to be a pretty good account of life on the fertility tx road.

You might like Schindler's Ark by Thomas Kenneally (the film was renamed as Schindler's List). It's a long time since I read it now but it was a superb read.

All the Light We Cannot See, by Anthony Doerr is a wonderful book, with some similarities to The Book Thief, but stands on its own. I loved both those books.

Ooh thank you, definitely must haves. I don't know what it is about films/books like The Book Thief, but watched it 3 times and it's so captivating.
