I loved Girl on the Train, Gone Girl, behind Closed Doors, 100 yr old man, man called Ove, Harold Fry, perfect people.....

I'd be really grateful for recommendations for something in a similar genre (i.e. thriller/feel good book that's not to hard going....)
Thanks in advance...

Books I've read recently and enjoyed:

The Bill Hodges trilogy by Stephen King (straightforward detective novels, not in any way horror or scifi but brilliantly written)

The Robert Galbraith trilogy (aka JK Rowling) again very good (UK) detective novels that are well written

The Tom Douglas detective books by Rachel Abbott

The Light Between Oceans by ML Stedman
The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O'Farrell
No Angel by Penny Vincenzi
The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff
Unravelling Oliver by Liz Nugent

Enjoy your holiday!

You by Caroline Kepnes, if you liked Girl On The Train, you will like this one. Also, The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton, also a good read x

Thanks both. The miniaturist and the Robert Galbraith trilogy have been recommended to me before but I forgot about them! I'll get started there I think!
