I would be more than willing

expatkat · 29/06/2004 13:47

gglimpopo I've done this beforea lot. Most of my friends are writers, quite a few of them novelists, some wih recognizable names in the USand I've read many of their drafts. In fact, I'm expecting a collection of essays in the mail any day from another friend whose essays are getting published soon. (But I think I'd have time to read yr manuscript too.) I'm sort of brutally honest but never gratuitously critical. I also used to teach fiction writing, if that further improves my "credibility."

expatkat · 29/06/2004 13:50

And, yes, I love to read, though I do occasionally write reviews, too. (But never reviews of novels!)

I'd like to read your book; although I'm going away for a week on Saturday - don't know how quickly you need it read by.

mummytosteven · 29/06/2004 23:02

I have zero professional experience, but would love to read your book.

Blackduck · 29/06/2004 23:20

would love to too......English graduate, PhD, read all the time - broad tastes....

Branster · 29/06/2004 23:22

i'll read it when it's published ggglimpopo!!! - and you'll earn a few pennies in the process
well done!!

SofiaAmes · 30/06/2004 00:07

Oooh I'd love to read it too. I have varied reading tastes (from dickens to murder mysteries) and would be happy to give honest contructive feedback. I love to read and don't do it for a living (I'm an architect). You can contact me through mumnet!

Demented · 30/06/2004 00:41

Just to echo Branster, you'll need to let us know when it is published so we can all go out and buy it! Well done!

Am I too late?

Tommy · 30/06/2004 23:31

Me too if the offer's still available! (was going to post yesterday but thought you wouldn't want me... [shy face] (no smiley for that yet!)

bran · 15/07/2004 22:14

And me, please. But if you have enough people please don't feel obliged to - like Branster I will buy it when it's published.

funkydiva · 15/07/2004 23:10

Hello Nina, would love to read it if you can add another to your list!

hana · 15/07/2004 23:12

that's great that it's been accepted Nina!! Is that why you've been quiet on the Dec thread?!?!

Chinchilla · 16/07/2004 14:14

Nina - Hope you got my opinions? Sorry if they were a bit 'too' critical... I would love to read Chapter 2 still.
