To celebrate the publication of bestselling author Lucy Diamond's latest novel The House of New Beginnings, we're asking you to share your big plans for this coming year.

Number 11, Dukes Square looks just like the other houses on the Brighton seafront: a Regency terrace, a winding staircase, and post piling up in the hall for its three new tenants. It might be part of the city's history, but it's also a place for fresh starts.

Georgie has followed her childhood sweetheart to Brighton but is determined to carve out a career for herself in journalism. Charlotte's in the city for a new start, hoping to keep her head down and somehow get over the heartbreaking loss she's suffered in the past. A terrible revelation sent Rosa running from London to start again as a sous chef. As the three women find each other, it's as if a whole new chapter of their lives has begun.

From the bestselling author of The Secrets of Happiness and Summer at Shell Cottage, this is an uplifting story about love, loss and starting over.

To be in with a chance of winning a hardback edition of The House of New Beginnings, a bottle of champagne PLUS a luxury box of macarons from Brighton's famous Julien Plumart Patisserie (featured in the book), just tell us - what are your resolutions and ambitions for 2017? Three runners-up will also receive copies of the book.

This discussion is sponsored by Macmillan and will close at midday on Thursday 23 February

I really need to get fit and eat healthier. I have IBS and found over Christmas it was awful with all the rich food. I am trying to cut out all the bad foods and eat more healthily for the sake of my stomach.

jamiethepaper · 15/02/2017 17:26

My goal is the same as last year, to live healthier. I have a goal weight in mind this time around so hoping having something measurable will help me get to where I want to be

Portabella24 · 15/02/2017 17:28

I'm trying to make sure I have a decent savings buffer in 2017. I hate my job but feel trapped because I can't just hand my notice in. Spending less money with the DCs means finding more imaginative ways to cook and have fun etc and I'm enjoying the challenge.

purplevamp · 15/02/2017 18:38

This year I want to get fit and healthy. I've spent too long being fat and unfit and I really want to get back to the weight I was when I met my husband.

Narnianescape · 15/02/2017 19:37

My big plans are to finally learn to drive in 2017

lhlee62 · 15/02/2017 19:39

I just want to be happy in myself and be happy with my body, I have decided that being slim is not the be all and end all. I'm not huge at a size 14, but I could be healthier so that is what I am aiming for.

juju3 · 15/02/2017 20:18

mave · 15/02/2017 20:39

To stop being boring and go out a lot more with my friends! Life's too short!

chezvic · 15/02/2017 21:02

Mine is to read more - I set myself a target of 12 but I'm already on book number 5. I used to love reading but since I had my little girl I've not read half as much, now I've started again I'd forgotten how much I'd missed it.

pfcpompeysarah · 15/02/2017 21:43

My resolutions are to tackle some of those jobs around the house that I put off until never, lose some weight, drink less, walk more, and try to do some sort of meaningful job or voluntary work.

Marg2k8 · 15/02/2017 22:12

I didn't make a new year resolution, but I have just rejoined weightwatchers and hope to get back to a healthy BMI again in 2017
