To celebrate the publication of bestselling author Lucy Diamond's latest novel The House of New Beginnings, we're asking you to share your big plans for this coming year.

Number 11, Dukes Square looks just like the other houses on the Brighton seafront: a Regency terrace, a winding staircase, and post piling up in the hall for its three new tenants. It might be part of the city's history, but it's also a place for fresh starts.

Georgie has followed her childhood sweetheart to Brighton but is determined to carve out a career for herself in journalism. Charlotte's in the city for a new start, hoping to keep her head down and somehow get over the heartbreaking loss she's suffered in the past. A terrible revelation sent Rosa running from London to start again as a sous chef. As the three women find each other, it's as if a whole new chapter of their lives has begun.

From the bestselling author of The Secrets of Happiness and Summer at Shell Cottage, this is an uplifting story about love, loss and starting over.

To be in with a chance of winning a hardback edition of The House of New Beginnings, a bottle of champagne PLUS a luxury box of macarons from Brighton's famous Julien Plumart Patisserie (featured in the book), just tell us - what are your resolutions and ambitions for 2017? Three runners-up will also receive copies of the book.

This discussion is sponsored by Macmillan and will close at midday on Thursday 23 February

Find the job and I think I did :)

pinkspideruk · 22/02/2017 00:30

My resolutions are:

  • to get healthier and fitter - whilst I would love to lose weight as well for me it's about feeling better in general so walking more, eating more fruit, veg and whole grain, more home prepared rather than processed meals etc
  • to start saving - I'm much better at spending than saving so I am trying to save and mke sure I take packed lunches to wrk,cut down on uneccesary shopping and things

I want to have a bikini body after having 3 kids, might take me till 2018 though.

dizzytina · 22/02/2017 07:46

My resolutions for this year are to become more organised and to learn to say no more... I take on too much because i cant say no when people ask me to do things.

goose1964 · 22/02/2017 08:40

to convince my husband we need to move, our house is too big for us now the children have left home/ He says a smaller house won't have room for all our stuff & he refused to get rid of it

369thegoosedrankwine · 22/02/2017 09:14

My resolution is to be grateful and write a gratitude everyday with the intention that this will promote better mental health.

I am also going to try and be in the moment and stop planning my life away.

michaelaeloise1 · 22/02/2017 09:35

This year i have big plans to get our house finished.... well money permitting! We moved into a doer upper September last year and didn't realise how hard it is fitting it all in around kids and work but i am determined to get back into it this week

nonnyno · 22/02/2017 09:47

My resolution is to stop entereing so many competitions because I never win anything!

techywife · 22/02/2017 11:25

My resolutions are to put my phone down and read more books instead. I'd also like to declutter my house a bit and spend lots of lovely quality time with my family :)

paulacheadle · 22/02/2017 11:59

I have started, by having more time to myself whilst kids are in school. I have had my hair done, just how I wanted it done. I have also started to eat more healthy, so at the moment things are going great. The most thing that I am looking forward to this year is the birth of my granddauhter in about 6 weeks time

Jaderice21 · 22/02/2017 12:21

emily13 · 22/02/2017 12:36

My plan was to do more exercise, it worked well for a while but it's gone by the wayside at the moment! I need to get motivated again!

GrooveHeart · 22/02/2017 12:37

Mine is to eat healthier and exercise. I'm kind of keeping to it but probably could do more.

omgitslani · 22/02/2017 13:07

It wasn't really a new year resolution as I think I thought about it towards the end of January but I am trying to cut down in the salt and sugar intake for the whole family. It is easy once you get used to it. There is hidden sugar in so many things!

natholland82 · 22/02/2017 13:49

I'm having double jaw surgery as part of orthodontic treatment in a couple of months, I know that will take a while to recover from, so my main plans at the moment is to get through that as swiftly as possible.

I'm a runner and pretty into trying to stay fit, so my plans after that will be to get back out running and build up my miles again, so I can hopefully at least do a half marathon and a couple of races as the year goes on.

:)

freedomofspeech · 22/02/2017 15:59

Move to where the outstanding OFSTED nursery is for my daughter, there's also 2 outstanding primary schools there too.
Start making plans for baby number 2.

Samparkes · 22/02/2017 16:27

Mine is to have a happier and healthier year with lots of funfilled adventures with my little girl.

sarahw2 · 22/02/2017 16:42

My goal this year is to get fitter, and hopefully lose some weight along the year. We are also hoping to end the year debt-free, which would be absolutely brilliant!

NelAllan08 · 22/02/2017 16:43

We're determined that this year we will sell our home of 17 years and move to our dream home, making a fresh start in a new location.

pixi1008 · 22/02/2017 16:48

To just simply be me! I don't want to have to chance to confirm to people's stereotypes so I want to set the example that you need to always stick to what you believe and let that shine!

hufflepuffle3 · 22/02/2017 17:43

To make 2017 a more settled year for me and the boys. Make this house we moved into just before christmas a home and to hopefully be financially secure by the end of the year x

sootyo · 22/02/2017 17:46

My resolution is to exercise more, so far I have managed to uphold this by doing yoga most days . Whilst my ambition is to become more physically flexible, which doing yoga appears to be achieving.

MrsLefty1010 · 22/02/2017 18:07

I started 2016 with resolutions to lose weight, and to be in less debt by the end of the year.

After getting pregnant in January after 6 years of trying that put paid to those plans. But we were over the moon our dream had finally come true! Unfortunately our year ended tragically when I gave birth to my stillborn son at 41+3 weeks in October.

This year my resolution is to find some form of normality again. I would like to lose weight but I would also like to be pregnant again. I would like the end the year in less debt but I want to be desperately buying more babies things.

Lydiag1 · 22/02/2017 19:48

We are working this year with the newlife charity to raise lots of money so this is my mission of the year ,we did a jewellery and bake sale yesterday , an inflatable obstacle course in May , A big friends and family party in September and a Christmas party with raffles etc to raise as much money as possible . So I am fully focussed on this for 2017
