Jake Atlas and the Tomb of the Emerald Snake is an action-packed adventure for 8-year-olds and over. If you or your child have read it, post your feedback here.

Jake and twin sister Pan's lives take a dramatic turn the day they discover the truth about their seemingly boring Mum and Dad. On a family holiday to Cairo, Jake and Pan's parents mysteriously vanish and it's up to the twins to find them. Cue action and adventure amid the pyramids!

We ask all winners to share their thoughts about the book on this discussion thread. However, you don't have to win a free copy to take part in the discussion - if you've read Jake Atlas anyway, you can post a review it on this thread.

Everyone who posts detailed feedback on the book by the end of day Monday 27 February will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Love2shop voucher.

The plot was hard to keep up with and I found as a bedtime story it was a bit too much to take in.

Great book. The chapters are short and the story is fast paced and a fun adventure. It is not challenging text or particularly educational but a fun novel for 7-10 year olds.

To be honest, at 10 he's not much of a reader so had to me persuaded to give it a go. He was pretty disapproving of Jake, (Yay, boy has a social conscience!) but approved of the gadgetry. While I'm being honest, it hasn't been finished as a new Lego model has begun.

It didn't grab the attention of my little one if I'm honest however, we are persevering and she is getting more interested as the story progresses!

Loved this book! Great read for both me and my daughter. We read together for our "bed time" book. Packed with action from beginning to end, was hard to put the book down at bed time, especially when my daughter was asking me questions about it 2-3 times a day afterwards! Definitely recommend this book, although feel it's definitely more aimed at teenagers, possibly above the age of 12 :-) x

my boys loved it, kept them engaged from start to finish.

I read this book in advance of giving it to my 8yo. Whilst I was not keen on the level of destruction wreaked on historical monuments and the propensity of Jake for shoplifting, it was an exciting page-turning read full of Indiana Jones type moments and cool gadgets.

The family characters are brilliant and it's great to have a 12 yo action hero.
My 8 yo has already got excited looking at the front of the book and is learning about Egypt at school so this ties in nicely.
I look forward to reading it with him.
