nothing to add, but i'm on the lookout for a new read, so will watch this thread with interest.

ShowOfHands · 20/02/2007 16:47

Slightly slow starter, but I enjoyed it.

Clarinet60 · 20/02/2007 19:12

It's good, well worth reading. Unique. Loved the ending.
Read it!

NotQuiteCockney · 20/02/2007 19:12

I read this and really liked it - the story isn't actually that gripping but the writing style was very different to anything I've read before, I was quite hooked by it actually.

janeite · 21/02/2007 18:22

Well in total contrast to the other posts, I hated it. I thought it was trying to be all poetic and literary but was actually pretty dull. Sorry!!!

Then again, my friends all tell me that I over-analyse and should just "enjoy the bloody thing for its own sake", so, what do I know?

maisyday · 21/02/2007 18:24

I liked the title more than the actual book...

Miaou · 21/02/2007 19:05

I loved it, mainly for the writing style, as has been mentioned before. I would say that if it doesn't grab you in the first page, then you won't enjoy it.
