...by Mary Torjussen, who is also an MNer.

I've just finished, after a couple of days where I've only put the kindle down at essential times (to keep the children alive and entertained, mainly). Wow! Brilliantly plotted, a twist I thought I had predicted but then in fact had not, utterly compulsive reading. Highly recommended.

Thanks Mary! When is the next one...and are your older novels available anywhere?

I really enjoyed this too! I actually didn't figure it out until just before the twist was revealed.

DragonitesRule · 23/12/2016 21:59

Absolutely fantastic book-loved it!

Cheesymonster · 23/12/2016 22:01

This was a brilliant book - I also liked Sleep Tight so second that recommendation!

Cheesymonster · 24/12/2016 06:18

Thank you both.

Groovee · 24/12/2016 06:24

Loved it too. Remember to do an amazon review for her x

Matilda2013 · 24/12/2016 13:05

I almost forgot the Amazon review! Thank you for the reminder

This was a nice surprise! Thanks so much for the thread and I'm so glad people liked the book.

If you're looking for other psychological suspense, have a look at K L Slater's Safe With Me, Jenny Blackhurst's Before I Let You In, Katerina Diamond's The Secret and Sam Carrington's Saving Sophie.

Amazon review from me is done.

ooh, didn't you have other books available on the kindle store earlier in the year?

OP posts:
OohhThatsMe · 24/12/2016 18:23

I did, Mimsy, but I was asked by my publisher to pull them down as they only wanted books they were involved with to be out there. After all the editorial advice that went on with this book, I can see why they wanted that. Maybe one day I'll go back and rewrite them - I'd love that!

Thanks so much for writing a review - it means such a lot.

Frouby · 24/12/2016 18:25

I enjoyed this too!

OohhThatsMe · 24/12/2016 18:46

Oh thank you so much, Frouby!

Clawdy · 27/12/2016 18:47

Read it, enjoyed it, and suggested DD read it. She is very critical usually, but told me she really liked it and has recommended it to friends, so unlike her!

OohhThatsMe · 27/12/2016 23:29

Oh that's really nice of you, Clawdy! Glad it passed the daughter-test! I know how that can go wrong Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 04/01/2017 18:21

Not for me sadly. I just didn't get the end. Felt it was all a bit anti-climatic.
