I read this and I thought it was alright, not as good as his earlier books, however am I the only one to think WTF at the end?

I admit I am not the sharpest knife in the block, but I have no idea what happened at the end. Did he get changed by the pulse? Or did he just put it to his son's ear and then we are supposed to make our own conclusions?

And what was with the date at the end? Dec to October?? Eh???

Help me someone please!

Maybe I should go back to Janet and John.....

We are supposed to draw our own conclusion as to what happens to his son.

I enjoyed it.

But my all time faves are still Insomnia and Tommyknockers.

Tyedye, Lisey's Story? Is it a new Stephen King book?

I have it but haven't started yet.Think his books have got less conclusive have read a couple where at the end I thought eh?

I thought it was very, very badly written at the beginning, got better in the middle and had a fairly okay ending (like the idea there was no Americanised happy ending.)

It was like he wanted to rewrite The Stand, the whole Raggedy Man thing and all. I loved The Stand, and Cell could have been just as good but he missed quite a few opportunities to scare the pants off the reader. A big disappointment to what it could have been.

I'm glad I borrowed it from the library rather than buy it! Haven't read Stephen King for ages, spent most of my teenage years terrified by them.

I'm a huge King fan but was disappointed by "Cell". Thought it was a good idea that became a rip-off of "The Stand" and I was also disappointed by the ending. I "think" I've read him quoted somewhere though as saying that of course the boy is okay in the end, although that isn't clear as written. I enjoyed "Lisey's Story" much more although I thought it was quite different from his usual thing.
