Book about David Bowie?

Sorry id this is in the wrong topic, not sure if this should be under "Music" or under "books"...
I am looking to buy a book about David Bowie to my partner. I wouldn't describe him as a die hard fan, but he thinks he was a genius, he loves watching his wit at interviews etc.

So could you recommend a book about him that I could buy?

I think Strange Fascination by David Buckley was meant to be the definitive (so far..) and was the one sanctioned by Bowie. Haven't read any though...

Any others I meant to write. And I read that some time ago.

I got Strange Fascination in the end.
Looks ok but I wouldn't recommend it if you want photos too! Its got some but black and white and peinted in regular paper (not glossy) no a problem for DP, but just saying.

This is a bit of a tangent, but perhaps he'd be interested in books that Bowie liked. Apparently Bowie was a big-time reader.
