Later Joanna Trollope novels

I have just finished re-watching the Channel 4 adaptation of The Rector's Wife on 4OD, and had forgotten how much I'd liked the first half dozen or so of her novels (those published until about 2000). From Marrying The Mistress on, the few I tried didn't really inspire me, and I stopped buying them.

However I'm thinking of giving them another bash, so does anyone have any recommendations from the later books? These are they:

Girl from the South
Brother and Sister
Second Honeymoon
Friday Nights
The Other Family
Daughters-in-Law
The Soldier's Wife
Balancing Act

I've enjoyed her later ones, and particularly The Other Family and The Soldier's Wife. Worth a read!

I enjoyed the soldiers wife. I enjoyed it because I am a soldiers wife & actually thought it was well written if that helps.
TBH I prefer her earlier books too

I thought Daughters in law was very good. She did a Webchat about it a while ago on here. Worth searching it out.
