Anyone reading the new Peter Grant 'The Hanging Tree" ? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

I'm about a third of the way into it and loving it so far.
Not going to get much else done today though......

Yes, 3/4 way through. Really enjoying it, trying to drag out the last bit. Might have to reread some of the older ones though as I keep being annoyed I can't remember stuff being referred to.

About halfway through. Definitely should have reread the older ones - not like I didn't have time! - can really remember very little, especially about the haunted BMWs that he keeps mentioning!

Yes, I think I'll go back to the start and reread the whole series when I've finished this one.
However, the new Ben Aaronovich is on my Kindle, so will have to read that one first. Joy to have both books together after such a long wait.
Would love to see them as films or TV series.

I think the haunted BMWs were in the graphic novel "Bodywork". I only bought and read one chapter of that, it was too much faff on a kindle.

I'm on my second read through. The BMWs are in Bodywork, and I think the other graphic novels are referred to as well.

As a Phil Rickman fan, delighted that Lol Robinson is mentioned!

I've read the first, but I am really intrigued now. Can I read this now, or should I first read the four in-between? I guess the books build up on one another a bit, do they?

You need to read the other books first to understand whats going on I think

So pleased the BMWs is cleared up - I would have reread them all and gone mad trying to find it referred to! Do the graphic novels not really work on kindle?

Crawlingupthewalls It was doable, but I found it quite fiddly as you have to keep moving the pictures around from left to right and then from top to bottom to make sure you read the whole page. You may have more patience than me!
I might buy them in the paper edition though

Loved this book.only just doscovered the series in October so new book in Nov was a real thrill.
Also struggled with the comic ones - might give another go.

I am halfway through and enjoying it, though thank you for sorting out the BMW mystery - it is a shame I couldn't read that first... not sure the graphic novel will suit me. But where is Molly? and why wasn't Lesley mentioned for the first third of the novel?

This thread makes me want to go and buy the whole series and reread them.
