The God Delusion (Richard Dawkins) - What do you think?

I'm reading this at the moment and I think it is fascinating. Very calmly and well written and extremely thought-provoking. Anyone else?

Ah - just found a huge thread on this over on the philosophy/religion board - will go and read that I think! For what it's worth, I think it's a fantastic read, regardless of your stand on the big debate. I think he has written a ground-breaking book and I am very absorbed in it.

On the surface if it I think it's sad that someone would go to so much trouble to calming try to disprove God. But I'll go and read the other thread too.

SHPHH - I'm not sure what you mean? Are you saying that you think he's sadly deluded and has wasted his time? I don't agree with you at all - even if you don't agree with the conclusion he comes to, you surely can't believe that it is pointless even considering the issues? Are you saying that you have never thought about any of these questions? If this is the case, how do you actively "believe" in anything?
