From what they said to the man at the bus stop, to where you found the remote control, when you're a parent laughing at what gets hurled in your direction is beyond important.

Laura Quick's hilarious collection of observational illustrations about the everyday life of a parent will almost certainly raise a smile of recognition and a chuckle of solidarity.

Thought this was very amusing and well thought out. Not as dull as some parenting books can be, added humour at appropriate times.

I loved this book. So many situations that any mother can relate to (The Top 10 Unrealistic Mother Promises) I found myself reading bits of this out loud to my other half. The illustrations are basic but I liked it all the more for this, they're like instant sketches of all those moments in life we often rather forget about lol. One I'll definitely keep on the shelf and pull out again during all those moments when I need reminding that my child isn't the only one that can infuriate and delight in equal measure!!

Loved this book, cheered me up no end. Parenting is hard work but it helps to know you are not alone.

It was hilarious! Sometimes you just need to laugh at all the craziness that comes with kids.

caz123456 · 15/11/2016 07:42

It certainly made me feel like I wasn't alone with some of the crazy things I've done with my 'Mummy brain' I can really relate to this book.

grannybiker · 15/11/2016 09:56

Hey, we all need to laugh at certain joys of parenting or we'd scream, LOL!
This book does that.
(Just read your "Getting out of the house on time" article too and going to try the early to bed thing. Must be old when going to bed early is a treat, not a punishment!

I bought this as a gift for new parents, but I skim read first. Quite funny and a good pick up-put down book.
