From what they said to the man at the bus stop, to where you found the remote control, when you're a parent laughing at what gets hurled in your direction is beyond important.

Laura Quick's hilarious collection of observational illustrations about the everyday life of a parent will almost certainly raise a smile of recognition and a chuckle of solidarity.

No but having read some of the comments on here, I may buy it for my niece who is expecting a baby in the spring

Absolutely hilarious book & one I shall be buying copies of as gifts for my friends as they become mummy's. Brilliant observations & very, very true!!! Fantastic read!!

cbruin111 · 10/11/2016 23:14

Very amusing!!

dannydog1 · 11/11/2016 10:04

Perfect stocking filler for my daughter who is a new mum. Some she will already be able to relate to as mum to a one year old, the rest will be a warning of what's to come! As a vet and pet owner she will surely relate to the"don't put your finger there" cartoon.

jazzitup · 11/11/2016 10:24

Good read and quite funny

jacqui5366 · 11/11/2016 11:03

Lovely book with some very true illustrations. They made me laugh out loud -most are true to life - do not give your 5 year old a whistle unless you have the patience of a saint !

iut044 · 11/11/2016 12:14

ftovey7 · 11/11/2016 12:16

Yes, this is such a funny book! Has such lovely illustrations too! I really loved it and have bought another copy for my sister-in-law who is expecting her first. If you haven't yet read it add it too your list.

rocketriffs · 11/11/2016 13:32

Quite amusing and I found myself nodding in agreement to the observations and situations. I thought the sketches caught the funny moments, but could have been drawn better.

phillie1 · 11/11/2016 18:05

Really nice book, would be really good as a present! Very funny and had me laughing out loud in places

buckley1983 · 12/11/2016 08:09

I loved it! To be honest, I enjoy anything which takes a lighter look at parenting - it's nice to be able to laugh at some of those tear-you-hair-out moments! This is a book I'll be earmarking as a Christmas pressie for some of my mummy friends! :)

Cailin7 · 12/11/2016 19:12

I read this book in one go and enjoyed it. Some pages made me laugh out loud as I could completely identify with them, other pages I read with a wry smile. A light, entertaining read

Marg2k8 · 12/11/2016 20:37

I haven't read it. Would make a good gift for a couple of people I can think of.

mo3733 · 12/11/2016 21:01

i wish i had this when i was a new parent. its funny and inspirational

angiehoggett · 14/11/2016 08:24

great book to provide some amusement when you've got a little spare time

GERTA · 14/11/2016 08:44

Interesting book. Made me laugh and reminded me of my children and their mischiefs. There have been a lot of books about parenting and giving advice how to behave. There are so many blogs out there telling you want to do, what to say, how to behave. But here the author had taken a different approach of writing about her challenges as a parent by way of illustrations. That was a great idea. I would recommend this book to all parents and futire parents. Verry funny!

zombeana · 14/11/2016 10:14

Some of it was funny, but some parts i did not like - the pictures let it down

maryandbuzz1 · 14/11/2016 10:19

I loved the way this book was illustrated with the little speech inserts. It was refreshing to read and had me giggling from start to finish. Parenting is not an exact science and I loved to see that what I have been through was not unusual. Would highly recommend.

sarahw2 · 14/11/2016 13:51

It's hilarious! Very refreshing!

mumpetuk1 · 14/11/2016 15:34
