How many books do you (a) buy and (b) actually read in a month? I read quite alot (I have an hour's commute to work & back 4 days a week) so get through up to about 6/7 books a month, but frequently buy double that. Books are my biggest vice; I just can't seem to help myself. It started with mostly fiction, with the odd biography/cookery/child rearing book thrown in; now I'll pick up pretty much anything and am developing a worryingly expensive Class A - hardback - habit.

I'm trying to wean myself off bookshops & back to the library but it's just not the same. Can anyone out there empathise?

Well I've given up on the library,if I do manage to find a book that isn't written by Meave Binchey ,I invariably end up paying a fortune in late fines.
My latest exciting find is an oxfham book shop,no clothes ,just books ! It's marvellous.
So yes I am a bit of an addict aswell, just off to check out the BOOk People catalogue that came this am

GG - there's nothing sad in not commuting! Commuting is often the highlight of my working day - now that's sad!

Think thats what Ggirl meant , no commuting means less reading time!
