I wonder if anyone can recommend a book in which Liverpool features heavily? My fil grew up in Liverpool and would enjoy a book that reminds him of that time. I don't have any particular genre in mind.

I've not read this, but Gumshoe was a pretty famousish film with Albert Finney.
