This month we'd like to introduce you to Amanda Brooke - Richard and Judy bestseller and author of novels that pack an emotional punch. We've got 50 copies of The Goodbye Gift up for grabs so head to the giveaway page to apply for yours and find out more about the author.

Lucy has been desperate for a new heart for as long as she can remember - but getting the call to say a donor has been found will be a bittersweet relief: because for her to live, someone else must die.

We ask all winners to share their thoughts about the book on this discussion thread. However, you don't have to win a free copy to take part in the discussion - anyone who has read The Goodbye Gift can post their feedback here (and you can buy the book now).

Everyone who posts on this thread before 18 November will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Love2shop voucher.

This giveaway is sponsored by HarperCollins

Loved this - great book and I loved how it was written - you really see the points of view of all the characters

AngelwingsPetlamb · 10/11/2016 10:53

Oh so sad in places, you will need waterproof mascara! It's an enjoyable if somewhat emotional read. I guessed the ending which was a shame , but this is a book that talks of everyday occurrences and heartaches, it's gritty but well worth a read. I didn't receive a free copy, I just love a good read.

jazzitup · 10/11/2016 11:35

Looking forward to this too

Sounds like a really good read .

RACHELSMITH45 · 10/11/2016 14:24

A good read but sad in parts, not one to read on your holiday!!

glennamy · 10/11/2016 14:30

I borrowed a friends book as this is not the usual theme/storyline I would choose. It was good though as I like the organ donation side of things.

twinklenicci · 10/11/2016 14:47

I havent read it. I R&J book club books, and generally trust their opinion but I am not sure of the content of this particular book would appeal to me

iamsaranna · 10/11/2016 21:35

Interesting book that broached some delicate subjects but the writing didn't really flow for me I'm afraid/

multiplemummy · 10/11/2016 22:08

I loved this book! It's a story of the love, friendship and sacrifice of three friends and a tragic accident. It's one I want to read again and I can't wait to read the next one by Amanda Brooke

lesley37 · 11/11/2016 09:09
