Anyone read it?
Liked Mr Mercedes but I was not so keen on Finders keepers. I just didn't care about the characters. As it is part of the trilogy will probably read it anyway just wondering what it is like.

Thanks

It's much the same as the first two, really. He hasn't improved the characterisation or avoided stupid plot developments that go on far too long. Some good set pieces, as always but he's phoned in the rest.

Thanks. Pretty much what I expected... Feel like I have to read it to complete the series rather than wanting to read it.

It's okay but not great. Worth reading to bring the series to a close but a bit King-by-numbers.

I Think I gave Mr Mercedes 4 stars, Finders Keepers 2 and End of Watch 5 but I'm a huge softy and the ending had me bawling.

Lady - shhhhh! :(

SilkScarf · 20/08/2016 21:39

Lady, glad to hear someone else preferred Mr Mercedes higher than Finders Keepers. Loved the first one but not so keen on the second book. Provably why I still have 't read the last one and tbh only reading it to bring the series to a close like Renus said. As long as it isn't worse than the second one. Thanks.

Wasn't impressed by Mr Mercedes...and Finders Keepers was just pap. I only read it 6 weeks ago and it's virtually faded from my memory (blessedly).

Just bought this as a holiday read, so I'm encouraged by LadyDeadpool's opinion.
Enjoyed the other two, Mr Mercedes more so.
