Has anyone read either of the two above?
I enjoy reading the Slummy Mummy column in the Saturday times so am excited that they've got a book out on it! I don't think it's on release yet though.

I've heard lots about the latter. Any good? I'm generally not a chick lit person but am intrigued.

I read the Slummy Mummy article this week and thought it was very funny!! Do you know if the book is a collection of the articles or is it a related novel type thing?

The problem I have w/Getting Rid of Matthew is that it concerns a woman whose partner left his wife and family for her.

And now she wants to chuck him.

Somehow I can't see where I'd have any sympathy with either of these characters.

Getting rid of Matthew is actually very cleverly written - I thought I would have no sympathy with the woman - but I ended up on her side. Clever and good - I would recommend it !

Although she did indeed have an affair with a man she knew to be married - it turned out that she was not the most guilty person in the relationship ! Takes two to tango etc

I'm more interested in slummy mummy and have read a review on it in a magazine, suggests that it's a continuous narrative rather than a collection of articles from Saturday Times.
